World Ventures is a pyramid scheme

A pyramid scheme has been defined as:
"an unsustainable business model that involves promising participants payment or services, primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, rather than supplying any real investment or sale of products or services to the public"
To put it simply, if the primary activity is recruiting other people rather than selling stuff, it's a pyramid scheme. If the primary activity is selling stuff, it's a Multi-Level Marketing scheme.

So what is World Ventures, a pyramid scheme or a MLM?

WorldVentures is actually one of the longer-lasting pyramid schemes but it won’t be around for much longer. I’ve known of them for over 4 years and they’re still quietly active here in Botswana but the net is closing in on them elsewhere. The Gaming Board in Norway has recently announced that following a lengthy investigation they are certain that WorldVentures is a pyramid scheme. Their main criteria for deciding this was simple. 95% of all the money paid out to recruits in Norway was for the recruitment of other people, not from actually selling things.

So what do their local representatives say about the scheme they are selling?

I SMSed a local representative and asked:

The answer was simple.
Their own reps admit it's a pyramid scheme. What other evidence do you need?
